2010 brings many changes to our farm. We hope you will really enjoy the many new activities we have added this year. We have an entry fee of $3.00 on weekdays and $5.00 on weekends. Two years old and under are free. Your admission fee gains you access to the farm, all the activities listed below, and more.
Straw Maze & Tower Large straw bales and tunnels are used to create a maze environment where the kids can play. In addition, a large tower is built out of straw bales in a stair-stepped fashion allowing the children to climb and walk around the tower with their friends.
Face Painting The Zoo Lady or a member of the Zoo Crew will be painting faces each Saturday and Sunday during the season from 12PM to 4PM.
Bean Pit Soybeans are an important source of vegetable oil and protein world wide. Soybean products are the main ingredients in many meat and dairy substitutes. They're also great fun to play in and we've got a large pool of beans ready for action.
Caterpillar & Ladybug Rides for Kids(New in 2010) Let the children ride around the farm on the caterpillar train.
Corn Pit Nothing says central Illinois like a large pit of corn for the kids to root around in. This is a popular activity for our younger visitors.
Mountain Slide and Tunnel(New in 2010) Have fun running underground in the big tunnel then climb the steep mountain to the big slide and slide down, down, down the mountain
Cattle Shoot & Haystack(New in 2010) Run up the cattle shoot and jump into the big haystack. That’s good old fashioned fun!
The Little Village Kids six and under will enjoy playing in and around the miniature houses available in our Crow's Nest play area. Shop for Illinois grown products in one playhouse and pedal through the village on our oversized trikes and take your groceries to the little house.
Hayrack Rides on weekends Enjoy the ride out to get your pumpkin, or just ride around for fun, on the back of a wagon pulled by a John Deere tractor, driven by one of our staff.
Jumping Pillow(New in 2010) Our new jumping pillow will be enjoyed by kids of all ages. Come try it out. If you've never seen one in action, then watch the video below.
Steer Roping/Ride’m Cowboy(New in 2010) Get in the saddle and try your skill at roping the steer.
The Little Barnyard A trip to the farm just wouldn't be complete watching a variety of barnyard animals. Come pet and play with the miniature goats. A quarter will get you a handful of food to feed the friendly goats.
Picture Perfect Spot Climb up in our 1951 Chevy pick-up truck for a great photo of the kids or the entire family. If you want some assistance in making the photo a success, we will have a professional photographer onsite each Saturday and Sunday from 1PM - 5PM. The photographer may charge a small fee.
Other Paid Activities
Corn Maze Our Normal Cornbelters corn maze is 5 acres of complete confusion with checkpoints. Complete all check points and you qualify for a drawing for a new Apple iPod which will take place Monday, Nov. 1, 2010. Winner will be notified by phone or email.
Don’t forget the new Kiddie Korn Maze. It is just perfect for children and the faint of heart who do not want to wander for too long.
